WHY IT EXCITES US: Over the past two years, a few TV projects have touted themselves as “the next Squid Game,” but this South Korean thriller - which seems to have materialized out of nowhere and landed Stateside on Paramount+ - sure seems to have the same dark, twisted tone. SEASON 12 PREMIERE DATE: Wednesday, Sept. We’re also dying to see if acting newbie Kim Kardashian can, ahem, keep up with a group of seasoned veterans.
